DESCRIPTION OF CHOIR PROGRAM:
Choir participants will be led by a trained music director in singing fun and engaging music from all over the world and from all different time periods, including pop music from today. Weekly choir rehearsals include an introduction to music reading and healthy vocal technique. Singers will participate in an informal performance at the end of the session. Choir will be taught by professionals from San Diego Children’s Choir. Offered to Kinder-2nd grade. (Needs a minimum of 15 students to run, and will be capped at 20.)

DESCRIPTION OF GLEE CLUB: 

We are excited to offer this program for our talented young singer/dancers. Students will learn HOW to sing with good breath support, HOW to learn parts, and HOW to achieve all this while dancing. Program will include a weekly class and informal performance at the end of the session. Glee Club will be taught by professionals from Villa Musica. Offered to 3rd-4th grade. (Needs a minimum of 6 students to run, and will be capped at 15.)


​WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?  
​Grades K-2 CHOIR:  Mondays: January 27- March 30
  • 8 weeks of classes (no class on parent teacher and holiday weeks)
  • Glee Club and Choir will meet in the Music Room (D3)
  • Final performances will be on the last day of class
Grades 3-4 GLEE CLUB: Thursdays :January 30 - April 2
  • 9 weeks of classes (no class on parent teacher and holiday weeks)
  • Glee Club and Choir will meet in the Music Room (D3)
  • Final performances will be on the last day of class

IS THERE A PARTICIPATION FEE?  
The participation fee is partially subsidized by the Del Mar Heights PTA.  

    For Choir, families will be responsible for $75 per student.  
    For Glee, families will be responsible for $80 per student.

HOW DO WE PAY?
The easiest way to pay is using the PayPal button on this page. You can also write a check payable to "Del Mar Heights PTA," put it in a sealed envelope labeled Del Mar Heights Choir/Glee with your student's name and preferred date for class, and place it in the PTA dropbox in the office.
