Kindergarten & Parent Socials
Incoming kindergarteners & parents are invited to meet on scheduled playdates during the summer before the big FIRST day. To be placed on the email list please sign up during the parent/child Kindergarten visitation day or email our VP of Community. Additionally, parents from each grade gather to socialize and connect throughout the year.
Show your school spirit! Our new line of spirit wear includes t-shirts, hats, and hoodies! Currently a third party vendor handles the storefront, which is open during select dates throughout the year. Spirit wear is offered to our students at close to actual cost to allow for maximum student participation.
The PTA recognizes our gifted teachers and staff with snack breaks, luncheons and treats during staff appreciation week.
Student Spirit Awards
Several years ago, the PTA started this program to supply teachers with a small amount of funds to purchase trinkets to use in lieu of candy for classroom rewards. On Fridays spirit award winners choose their prize!
Our yearbook captures memories made throughout a year of learning and fun. While the club is on hold, our wonderful parent volunteers continue to ensure a long lasting yearbook is available at year's end.

The Del Mar Heights Dads' club provides free coffee, juice, and pancakes before school several times throughout the year. Come early and get them while they're hot!
Sixth Grade Promotion
The PTA hosts the hospitality portion of the Sixth Grade Promotion, held on our students' last day of elementary school. We serve cake and drinks to our newest alumni, their parents, and families after the ceremony.
Used Book Exchange
At our annual used book exchange, every child can afford a book. Our goal is to get books into the hands of all our students. Bring in your used children's books (and appropriate adult books) and exchange them for "new" books or purchase books for as little as 25 cents. Any leftover books are donated to worthy causes, and everyone wins!
Walk to School Day
Take a break from the school traffic while promoting environmentalism, sustainability and community by walking to school on this day.
