New Family Buddy Program

We’re thrilled that your family is joining us at Del Mar Heights! Part of our role within the PTA is connection: to nurture relationships between families, the school, and our local community. We know that sending your child to a new school can be overwhelming, so we’ve created a family “buddy” program in hopes of making your adjustment just a bit easier.

New families:

We’d love to connect you with a Heights family to share information as you get settled. This program is designed to help you and your child start making friends quickly and navigate the transition smoothly. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the inside scoop on local babysitters, the best DMH field trips & events to attend, recommended (child-friendly) restaurants, and more? Existing families:

Interested in sharing your DMH experience and community knowledge with newcomers to our school? Please consider volunteering to be a mentor family. With a small investment of your time, you could make a big difference in another family’s transition the Heights! If you’re interested or have questions, email our Membership Chair Starla Weiss (the form below is intended for registering new families rather than mentor families).
